Harris Lipman Instructed to Place Hampshire Hotel Management Company into Liquidation
10/09/2008
Harris Lipman LLP, London chartered accountants and licensed insolvency practitioners, have been instructed to convene a creditors’ meeting to place The Romans Hotel Limited, which ran the privately owned Romans Country House Hotel, in Silchester, Basingstoke, into liquidation.
The hotel, whose main building is a Lutyens-style manor house, has 25 bedrooms and facilities including a health club, an outdoor heated swimming pool and tennis courts.
Freddy Khalastchi, the lead partner on the case, said: “Unfortunately, the current economic climate has had a severe impact on the hotel’s business, and even though the owners injected a lot of their own money to keep the hotel going, it was insufficient to compensate for the downturn in trade which has regrettably led to company having to cease trading.”
Freddy has been a licensed insolvency practitioner since 1994 and has experience across the whole spectrum of insolvency appointments, including challenging assignments such as trading administrations, forensic investigations, turnarounds and Law of Property Act receiverships.
