Jonathan Becomes Insolvency Practitioner At Harris Lipman
18/03/2010
An insolvency manager at Harris Lipman is looking forward to working as a fully-fledged Licensed Insolvency Practitioner after passing the last of his professional exams.
Jonathan Bass joined the firm from university in January 2006 and began studying with the Joint Insolvency Examinations Board (JIEB) last year, having first completed his general accountancy qualifications with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Having recently received the good news that he has passed all of his JIEB examinations, Jonathan will now be able to handle entire insolvencies on his own, rather than working under one of the other practitioners at the firm, although he plans to spend a little longer building up his own experience before doing so.
He said: “I was very pleased to pass my insolvency exams, but you never stop learning and I plan to continue building up my experience here before starting to take on my own cases over the next year or so.
“I’ve found working in insolvency to be a very interesting and rewarding experience and everyone here at Harris Lipman has been very supportive in helping me to build up the knowledge and experience I need.”
Harris Lipman partner Martin Atkins added: “I’m delighted that Jonathan’s hard work has now paid off, and look forward to him playing an even more prominent role in our corporate recovery and insolvency team in future.
“Here at Harris Lipman, we place great emphasis on education and training to ensure our team are all up to speed with the latest developments in their industry, and are able to provide our clients with the best possible service.”
