Accountants Harris Lipman Appoint New Partner
20/04/2009
North London chartered accountants and insolvency practitioners Harris Lipman have appointed a new partner to the firm.
Russell Whitlock, who took up his new role on 6 April, decided to specialise in accountancy after completing a business and finance qualification. He worked for two established accountancy firms in Oxford, where he qualified as a member of the Association of Chartered Accountants in 2001.
Russell joined Harris Lipman as an audit senior in 2003 and subsequently became senior audit manager. As well as expertise in preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, he is widely experienced in company audit and taxation.
In his senior audit manager role, Russell has been working closely with senior partner Barry Lewis in advising clients on business development. He has also taken a leading role in the training and mentoring of team members, which he believes is crucial to the success of any forward-thinking accountancy firm.
Russell said: “When I was looking for a new challenge, one of the reasons I was attracted to working at Harris Lipman was that it was clear that this is a firm that believes in developing its people and rewarding their performance. That, along with the very high quality of its customer service and attention to detail, was very refreshing. Now I am very much looking forward to playing a part in Harris Lipman’s continuing growth and success.”
Barry Lewis said: “We are delighted to welcome Russell as a partner. His approach to his work embodies Harris Lipman’s core values of professionalism and integrity and his knowledge and skills will be a real asset to our team.”
